<idPurp>This map layer contains Special Districts that appear on DFA's 2025 Certificates of Property Tax Rates for New Mexico counties.
There are numerous data sources from whom these boundaries were aggregated.  In most cases, the boundaries present in this layer appear "as is"; no editing and/or geographic validation or verification was performed.  Generally, the features were copied from the data source and pasted into this layer with little or no post processing.</idPurp>
<idAbs>&lt;div style='text-align:Left;'&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;This feature class contains the boundaries of 48 special voting districts in New Mexico collected/created by the Earth Data Analsysis Center for New Mexico Office of Secretary of State. Original district boundary data was provided by distritrs, their point of contact for mapping purposes, or by County Clerks/staff in formats including: shapefile, pdf, jpg, legal description, and description via phone. Data provided as shapefiles were included in this feature class as they were provided, except ones which the district requested changes to be made, in which case the updated version was included. For all other formats, EDAC digitized the boundaries based on the reference data provided by the data provider. Other data was used as reference to assist this process, including ArcGIS basemas, topographic maps, county parcel data, and township/range/section data. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</idAbs>

<statement>Original district boundary data was provided by districts, their point of contact for mapping purposes, or by County Clerks/staff in formats including: shapefile, pdf, jpg, legal description, and description via phone. Data provided as shapefiles were included in this feature class as they were provided, except ones which the district requested changes to be made, in which case the updated version was included. District boundaries that consisted of multiple voting districts were merged to form one overarching boundary. For all other formats, EDAC digitized the boundaries based on the reference data provided by the data provider. Other data was used as reference to assist this process, including ArcGIS basemaps, topographic maps, county parcel data, and township/range/section data. All district boundaries were merged into one feature class, where fields and attributes were standardized to include the same information. </statement>
